Conclusion

Dawn over OtaniemiIn the morning the train arrived at Helsinki Central Railway Station, the same place where I had started my trek almost 3 months ago.  Philip's girlfriend was there to meet him, so I waved goodbye to the young couple and left the station, alone.  I'd left without ceremonies, I didn't want any now either.

A short jaunt on bus 102 and I was home.  Everything was the same as before, except that some 18,000 mk had disappeared from my savings account, and I had the fading remnants of a tan.

That's it.

Move along now, nothing to see here.

Offer to readers

If you're reading this, odds are you've read through the entire thing, and you may actually want to find even more.  If so, you're in luck, there's plenty more where this came from.  Start your journey at my travel index, located at this bookmarkable address:

If even that is not enough, you'll just have to wait until I cook up some more.  Should you wish to be notified when this happens, I suggest you subscribe to the J-TRAVEL mailing list, which sends out (very) occasional announcements when I finish a story, and may also be used for serializing longer stories like Jani in Japan.  To join, just send the magic words "subscribe j-travel" to this address:

Gentle Reader, adieu!  Health and Happiness be with you!  Thus in times of yore said our forefathers as they ended the tale they had to tell.  Why should I not imitate their courtesy and candour?  And so I say to you as they once did: Gentle Reader, adieu!  Wealth and Pleasure be yours!  If my scribblings have brought you a measure of both, set me to advantage on your bookshelf.  If I have bored you, accept my apologies and consign me to the flames.
